Engineered Hot Rolled Steel Bars and Shapes

McDonald Steel maintains one of the world's largest inventories of tooling for nearly 500 different asymmetrical hot rolled shapes ... a set of 22 rolls and roll guides for each shape, plus shear knives and straightening rolls if required. This highly engineered tooling produces prime quality near net shapes used in making truck and bus wheel rims, off-road equipment wheel rims, highway bridge decking and bridge expansion joints, concrete water pipe couplings, overhead automotive door hinges and ring gears, truck steering columns, railroad equipment parts, robot guide bars, tractor grouser bars and many other end products. McDonald Steel shapes are "near net" co-engineered so that our customers save costly manufacturing steps and labor in converting them to their end products. McDonald Steel near net shapes add quality, strength and precision to the end products for which they are designed and engineered.
